Dia siete

Our day of planes, trains and automobiles...and a little guy named Chewy...

The new face of Lancome...

...I know, he's really really ridiculously good looking with ridiculously high cheekbones....

When your stuck in the airport on a random chance of weather...

...try on dorky hats and amuse eachother for 5 minutes, of course, until you can think of something else...

...Or that is, until the hostess decides to serve us all ham sandwiches with the crusts cut off and Inca Cola while we're stranded here...

Awww, thanks mom....I mean nice happy flight attendant lady from Star Peru!!!

Are own little Chewy!!!

Okay his real name is Colberto, but we had such fond memories of the guy we had to give him a nickname...Hi Colberto!!!

Chewy was our taxi driver/tour guide/ homey for this leg of the race...He drove us all over to get our train tickets, see the sites, eat some grub and check out lots of farmland, little towns and a cuy hut...our own little chauffeur...thanks Chewy!!

I know you might think a little ham and cheese served with love would do the trick, but when we landed in Cusco our tummies were begging us for more, so Chewy took us to this place...
Wontons with sweet and sour sauce and cornuts to start...(There are tons of Chinese people in Peru because Peru has the first ever China town, so a lot of their food takes inspiration from there...)

Ahhh, you can get a sandwich and fries anywhere nowadays....is that cheating?? At least we're drinking Cusquena beer...

Just a day in the life, two boys, a lady and a couple of llamas...kind of like our version of a guy, a girl, and a pizza place....

Washed out from the rainfall, looks like they didn't learn from their ancestors about the canals...Anyway, pretty in it's own way...

Uhhh, where are we Chewy??

...I really only made Chewy stop about 40 (ah-hum....million) times to take a picture of every animal I saw...
...like they don't have pigs, chickens, roosters, and cows in the states...
...but these are Peruvian animals Danny!!!

This is skittles...
....I wanted to take him home with me but Danny wouldn't let me...Sorry Adam, looks like your gonna have to wait a little longer until I can get a monkey or a pig....
....but his mohawk is something else, isnt it??...

Hello God, it's me....thanks....

Danny y perro just sittin on top of the world...

God, in case you didn't hear me the first time.....baaaaaaahhhhhh......

Looking down at the village in the valley...

Sun setting on the ole canal...
....looks like it from Where the Red Fern Grows?

Cuy!!!!!!!
Poor little guys don't even know their fate....

Danny spending some time in the ole kid corral...shhhhhh.....

I swear she was smiling at one point....

The hiney of frog mountain...no really that's what it's called...

...the river runs through it... Spring Mountain water anyone??

....mountain top ruins above the village...This is Ollyantaytambo, where we had to catch our train, grab a bite to eat, and say goodbye to Chewy...it's still an active Inca village...I thought Froto Baggins was going to pop out any minute..

....The place even had this old lady seamstress, that you walk into her little shop through a rickety door, ducking to get inside, and she is bent over her ancient sewing maching making hats and blankets that are strewn about all ove her shop...quite surreal...

... Hopped on the train into nightfall to get to Aguas Calientes...this is the view out the window looking at the incredible full moon...

... Not exactly first class, but we're only here for 5 hours and then off to catch the first bus up to the mountain!
Plus, we're right on the river, so you can't beat that! You can here the rushing water and are surrounded on all sides with windows...
...Danny put on a little Cold Play and we ended up laying the opposite way on the bed to look up at the full moon and hear the water rushing by, tre romantique...until about 10 minutes later when the own sound of our snores woke us up and we realized we should probably lay the right way and go to bed....oh well, don't think Danny's gonna let me hit the snooze button in the morning either...
